Mulato is a dark chocolate brown chilli, it dries with a smoky flavour. It can be used in the preparation of mexican soups, stews and other sauces. Along with Ancho and Pasilla, Mulato is an essential ingredient in making the classic mole sauce. The fruits are 12cm long and 6cm wide tapering to a blunt end with a mild to medium heat.
